BIM is not software.AI is not a trend.
Both are ways of organising information. A model only earns its cost when the data inside it survives handover and answers a question someone actually asks on site, at 2am, when a pump fails.
That belief came from the route: architecture first, then construction engineering, then research and standards work, then coordination on projects large enough that a missing parameter costs real money.

Three rules that decide every recommendation.

The problem before the tool
I diagnose the process first. If the fix is a habit rather than a licence, I will say so and it costs you nothing.

Information outlives the build
Most of what a building costs is spent after handover. The model should still be answering questions then.

Audited, not asserted
Every model I hand over is checked against ISO 19650 and a named LOD. Quality you can test beats quality you are promised.

BIM and AI integration
BIM coordination and development of automation and AI tools applied to design and coordination: Revit scripting, model data analysis, BIM maturity diagnostics.
Interdisciplinary coordination on complex projects
Detecting and resolving clashes between HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structure on the Vaudreuil-Soulanges hospital and on residential and institutional projects, using Revit, Revizto and Navisworks.
BIM research and standards at ÉTS
Research assistant in built-asset digitisation: BIM template deployment, team training, scan-to-BIM modelling. Published at the ICCCBE 2024 conference with Erik Poirier.
